In order to be more productive we need to sleep more, take more vacations, stop checking emails and start daydreaming– especially in the work place! So says The New York Time’s bestseller book “The Way We’re Working Isn’t Working.” Clearly we are in an energy crisis but this one is personal. We feel that we can work the same way as a computer, working continuously at high speeds and running multiple tasks at the same time. In fact studies have proven that we are physiologically meant to pulse. That means we are more productive and creative when we fluctuate between periods of rest and periods of focused work. We need to value both equally, even if that means turning off cell phones and emails for a period of time during the day. We at body blitz know the importance of rest and renewal and of course daydreaming. That’s how body blitz began.
